Few hours before the launching of UN Framework Convention on Climate Change UNFCCC (COP27), the organizing committee of the conference started, today Saturday, receiving around 7 thousand guests from different countries and nationalities that are participating in the 27th round of the climate summit taking place in the city of peace – Sharm El-Sheikh, during the period 6-18 November 2022.
The members of the organizing committee at Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport were keen to provide all the services needed to the participants upon their arrival, as well as responding to all their inquiries. Moreover, the organizing committee allocated special places to finalize all the arrival procedures for the climate summit guests and prepare hospitality breaks and VIP breaks at the international arrival halls and domestic travel. Furthermore, paths and special guiding signs were defined and set for the participants, as well as providing the necessary transportation for them from the airport to the lodging hotels, this is by allocating powered by natural gas and electricity to serve the conference guests and transport them within the city for free.
The organizing committee undertakes its work through the Central Operations rooms, which links different agencies, ministries, and institutions participating in the conference. It relies on the electronic system to follow up on different operations, starting from the arrival of the delegations at the airport, to attending the events at the green and blue zones, until departure. In addition, the team works of the organizing committee followed up the preparations and finalized the procedures related to housing and hosting 7000 guests at Sharm El-Sheikh hotels. Last but not least, the organizing committee would work on assisting and serving the participants throughout the conference in Sharm El-Sheikh.
