The organizing committee holds the responsibility of organizing the the logistical and organizational events and operations of the UN Framework Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC) (COP27), which takes place in Sharm El-Sheikh during the period 6-18 November 2022.
The organizing committee works on employing the accumulated experience gained by its members, who participated in the management and organization of the previous four editions of the World Youth Forum (WYF). They also participated in organizing many major international events and conferences hosted by Egypt.
Around 2000 volunteers are participating in organizing the climate conference (COP27) that Egypt hosts in the city of peace “Sharm El-Sheikh”. Among them are youth from the Presidential Leadership Program, university youth, and youth from different sectors, in addition to the participating youth from different nationalities in organizing the conference. Moreover, several organizers are cooperating with the United Nations in organizing the events at the Blue Zone at the climate summit.
The organizing committee manages the organizational and logistical operations through three central rooms at the Blue and Green Zones, which rely on a smart electronic system that links different agencies, ministries and institutions that are participating in the conference.
The responsibilities and missions of the organizing committee vary between organizing, registration, operations and crisis management, content, media production, public relations, logistics, and events. In addition, the organizing committee responds to all the inquiries of the participants and assist them as soon as they arrive at the Sharm El -Sheikh International Airport and finalize their hosting operations at the hotels, to ensure that they obtain a distinguished experience in the city of peace “Sharm El-Sheikh”, in coordination with all the concerned authorities in Sharm El-Sheikh.
